I've started my next project. This time I am going to make a natural form gown. I really like the TV225 f antail skirt and that's the pattern I am going to use for the black & red striped cotton. The front of the fantail skirt is a bit to narrow for my taste, so for the front and side panels I used the TV216 parisian trained skirt.

I am going to add a ruffle to the hem. This ruffle I am going to cut on the bias so the stripes are a bit on an angle compared to the skirt.

I've sewn a small satin trim to ruffle:

Now I have to decide what overskirt and bodice to make. I have no inspiration just yet. Maybe I'll make the TV328 split pannier overskirt in all black, but I'm not sure because I want the stripes on the fantail still to be visible..
