I have a lot of beautiful skull brocade and I want to make a victorian gown out of it in combination with black pvc. For weeks I have been thinking about the design, but I am still not quite sure. I want it to be really versatile, so I can wear it in different combinations. I have made an overskirt of black pvc based on the polonaise pattern, so I might make the bodice part of the polonaise also in black pvc. These would go over the TV201, but I haven't decided yet if it should be black or silver skull brocade. Right now I am thinking black brocade.
Fabric:
Black pvc and silver skull brocade

Black skull brocade

Patterns I might use:
TV201
TV410
TV463

First design:
TV201 without ruffle black skull brocade
TV410 (seperate bodice and skirt) black pvc
To go with it: french vest bodice of black skull brocade with black pvc vest-part:
Or should I make it in black pvc with silver skull brocade?
Second design:
I am also considering it "the other way round":
TV201 of black pvc ( I think this one with ruffle)
Overskirt based on polonaise of black (or silver) skull brocade
French vest bodice of black pvc with skull brocade (black or silver?) vest-part
