I am intrigued by the pattern for the 1875 Parisian trained skirt and will try that for my next project. I made it out of black taffeta. To go with it, I made a bodice of black taffeta and a corset of green taffeta. As this is still one of my first victorian gowns, the trimming isn't yet eleborate. That's all to change in the future :-).

The ruffle-trim of the apron. This was my first ruffle-trim. I hadn't "discovered" the effect of ironing it yet :-).

Pictures of me wearing these can be found here. I am not wearing a bustle under this skirt, just a petticoat. In my opinion, it needs a bustle for more fullness in the back.
